Smart Photo Gallery

Smart Photo Gallery is a Python CGI script for automatically publishing pictures over the Internet in other terms it is a photo gallery maker. It is intended to be used when a large set of pictures needs to be published easily on the Internet. SPG is meant to be very easy to use and require very little amount of setup. The publication of pictures is done simply by copying files to a directory on the server.

Download spg-cgi-0.1.tar.gz.

Status: The project is still in Beta although there is a version running pretty good at http://smartobjects.be/spg (Sorry for the french descriptions).

Current Version: The first release, 0.1, has been made. 07-sept.-2001

SPG requires Python 2.0 or greater, Cheetah, Python Image Library.

I decided to work on this script when I bought myself a digital camera. I soon notice that this new gadget would be useless unless I could publish very easily pictures over my website.
