Specifying directories (directories)

The [directories] section lists directories that the system needs to know about:

root_directory

This option indicates the absolute directory path where the images are located. User 'nobody'² needs to have access with read permission to this directory and sub-directories. This directory doesn't need to be configured as served by the webserver (it doesn't have to be configured in the httpd.conf file). This have to be the absolute path name of the directory.³

tmp_directory

This option tells the system where to cache the generated thumbnails and resized images as they are generated on the fly.
